INFORMATIONAL NOTICE—CITY COUNCIL
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Please take notice that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center at its meeting on Monday, May
12, 2014 will consider the petition described below. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the City
Hall Council Chambers, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway. A definite time for this petition to be considered
cannot be given as it will depend on the progression of the agenda items.
TYPE OF REQUEST: Rezoning and Special Use Permit
PETITIONER: City of Brooklyn Center
PROPERTY NAMED IN THE PETITION: 7100 and 7124 Camden Avenue North
Legal Description: Lot 1, Block 2, Thomas Construction Co. 2°a Addition, Hennepin
County, Minnesota; except Parcels 29 and 29A as shown on MN/DOT Right-of-Way Plat
No. 27-19 (PID No. 25-119-21-43-0050)
BRIEF STATEMENT OF CONTENTS OF PETITION:
Said Rezoning and Special Use Permit request is being submitted by The City of Brooklyn Center,
Minnesota to rezone the subject property from its current R4 (Multiple Family Residence)to a new RI
(One Family Residence) District. The rezoning will facilitate the proposed development and
construction of the City of Brooklyn Center's new municipal water treatment facility at this location.
Auxiliary aids for persons with disabilities are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance.
