HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-116 CCRMember Lin Myszkowski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-116 RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF AUGUST 12, 2014, MUNICIPAL PRIMARY ELECTION WHEREAS, the City Council has met for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the municipal primary election for the office of Mayor and Council Member. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it is hereby determined by official canvass that Tim Willson and Mike Elliott received the highest number of votes in the August 12, 2014, municipal primary election and are declared to be the nominees for the office of Mayor of the City of Brooklyn Center. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it is hereby determined by official canvass that Dan Ryan, Randy Christensen, April Graves, and Ned Storla received the highest number of votes in the August 12, 2014, municipal primary election and are declared to be the nominees for the office of Council Member of the City of Brooklyn Center. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Clerk is directed to place the names of the nominees on the general election ballot. August 15, 2014 Date ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kris Lawrence-Anderson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kris Lawrence-Anderson, Lin Myszkowski, and Dan Ryan; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
