ORDINANCE ADOPTION
ORDINANCE NO. 2015-02
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
CHAPTER 35-ZONING
OF THE CITY CODE OF
ORDINANCES REGARDING THE
REGULATION OF OUTDOOR
STORAGE AND OUTDOOR
SALES DISPLAY AREAS IN
THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 35-330, para-
graph 3 of the Brooklyn Center City
Code is hereby amended by adding
new subparagraph i as follows:
Section 35-330. I-i INDUSTRIAL
PARK.
3. Special Uses
L Outdoor storage and display of

accessory and necessary to a prin-
cipal or permitted use subject to the
following standards:
1. The items in the area desig-

City Council.
7.The outdoor storage area shall

Section 2. Section 35-413, para-
graph 9, of the Brooklyn Center City
Code is hereby amended as follows:

9. Outdoor Storage and Activity
Outdnor Sales Display Areas
In the industrial park district
(1-4) I-i Industrial Park District all
production, storage, servicing, or
merchandising, except off-street
parking and off-street loading shall
be conducted within completely
enclosed buildings
storage areas or outdoor sales dis-
play areas allowed by special use
permit in the I-i flistrirtrnosteorn-
ply with the provisions of Section
55-330, Subsection Si.
In the 1-2 General Industry Dis-
trict, outdoor storage is subject to
the nrnyisinnsnf Section 35-331,
Subsection 1 .f.
Semi-trailers, commercial ship-
pingcontainers, or commercial
moving and stnrage cnntainers,
may not be used for the outdoor
storage of materials, equipment,
merchandise, inventory, etc., excjW2
within an approved outdoor storage
area.
Fuel storage or storage of ma-
terials associated with a noncom-
mercial use required for the public
welfare which is not located within
a completely enclosed building or
buried below grade shall be com-
pletely screened from view utilizing
earth or opaque structural materi-
als. Said screening device shall be
appropriately landscaped and shall
be esthetically compatible with
other structures and landscaping
on the site. Detailed plans for said
screening shall be submitted to and
approved by the City Council.
Section 3. This ordinance shall
become effective after adoption and
upon thirty days following its legal
publication.
