RESOLUTION NO. 2015-129
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF
STEVE LANDIS FOR HIS DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE ON THE
FINANCIAL COMMISSION AND HOUSING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Steve Landis served as a member of the Financial Commission
from February 22, 2010,through August 17, 2015, serving as Chair since April 16, 2015; and
WHEREAS, he has made significant contributions as a member of the Financial
Commission, including evaluating and developing fiscal policies, fiscal procedures, Mayor and
Council Member total compensation, and budgetary and capital matters; and
WHEREAS, Steve Landis served as a member of the Housing Commission
from February 26, 2007, through February 21, 2010; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the Housing Commission, he contributed to
developing and recommending standards for occupancy and maintenance of housing for the
community; and
WHEREAS, his leadership and expertise have been greatly appreciated by the
Financial Commission and Housing Commission; and
WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the
community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be
recognized and expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; that Steve Landis is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City
of Brooklyn Center, and this resolution serves as a visible and lasting expression of gratitude for
the leadership and service he has rendered to the citizens of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Dan Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, April Graves, Kris Lawrence-Anderson, And Dan Ryan;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
