HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-018 EDAR Commissioner April Graves introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: EDA RESOLUTION NO. 2015-18 RESOLUTION APPROVING TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR USE IN A LAND EXCHANGE FOR A PUBLIC TRAIL (340153 RD AVE N) WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota ("EDA") owns a parcel of property described as the North 110.02 feet of the East 142.6 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 118, Range 21, Hennepin County, Minnesota (Torrens Certificate of Title No. 1353209) ("Subject Property"); and WHEREAS, the EDA proposes to transfer and convey the Subject Property to the City of Brooklyn Center ("City") to enable a land exchange with Lake Point Apartments LLC to create a public trail; and WHEREAS, the Notice of Public Hearing was published in the City's official newspaper on August 13, 2015; and WHEREAS, the EDA held a Public Hearing regarding the proposed transfer and conveyance of the Subject Property on August 24, 2015. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the EDA of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. The EDA authorizes the transfer and conveyance of the Subject Property to the City to facilitate the creation of a public trail. August 24, 2015 Date President The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Kris Lawrence-Anderson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, April Graves, Kris Lawrence-Anderson, and Dan Ryan; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
