MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE
COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND STATE OF MINNESOTA
REGULAR SESSION
June 16, 2015
COUNCIL COMMISSION ROOM
CALL TO ORDER
The Brooklyn Center Housing Commission was called to order by Chairperson Johnson at 7:00
p.m.
ROLL CALL
Chairperson – David Johnson - Present
Judy Thorbus - Present
Kathie Amdahl - Present
Mark Goodell - Present
Leroy Houston – Not Present
Also present was Staff Liaison Xiong Thao.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
There was a motion by Commissioner Thorbus and seconded by Commissioner Goodell to
approve the agenda as amended. The motion passed.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES –
There was a motion by Commissioner Amdahl to approve the minutes as amended and
seconded by Commissioner Goodell to approve the amended minutes of the Housing
Commission meeting on April 21, 2015. The motion passed.
CHAIRPERSONS REPORT
Chairperson Johnson reported: There is no report.
COUNCIL LIAISON REPORT
Councilmember Lawrence-Anderson reported: Not Present
OTHER BUSINESS
Commissioner Amdahl reported that new neighbor bags were delivered last week. 35 bags were
dropped off and had 24 face to face meetings with residents. Residents are considered ‘new’ even if
they have been living in Brooklyn Center within the past year or there is a change in ownership.
Commissioner Johnson stated that there is another delivery scheduled tomorrow, June 17, 2015 at
6:15pm.
Commissioner Amdahl and Johnson suggested new dates for delivery in July. Dates selected are
Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 6:15pm, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 6:15pm, and July 21, 2015 at 6:15pm.

Commissioner Johnson will request that Staff Liaison Anderson send an email notice to other
commissioners that are not present.
ADJOURNMENT
There was a motion by Commissioner Amdahl and seconded by Commissioner Goodell to
adjourn the meeting. The motion passed. The Brooklyn Center Housing Commission adjourned
at 7:15 p.m.
