HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-229 CCRMember Debra Hilstrom introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000-229 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTRACT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT LABOR SERVICES (LELS) #86 AND THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 2001 AND 2002 WHEREAS, Section 2.07 of the City Charter for the City of Brooklyn Center states that the City Council is to fix the salary or wages of all officers and employees of the City; and WHEREAS, the City has negotiated in good faith with LELS Local #86 (Sergeants) for a contract for the years 2001 and 2002 as attached. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with LELS Local #86 (Sergeants) for calendar years 2001 and 2002. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authorized wage and benefit adjustments shall become effective according to the schedule of the agreement which commences January 1, 2001. 1 December 11, 2000 Date ATTEST: City Clerk Q Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kay lasman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Debra Hilstrom, Kay lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none;. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
