HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-005 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2001-05 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2001 ENGINEERING SERVICES BUDGET TO CARRY FORWARD AN UNEXPENDED APPROPRIATION FROM THE 2000 ENGINEERING SERVICES BUDGET WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter provides the City Council with the authority to appropriate funds from the accumulated surplus in an amount equal to a previous appropriation in the General Fund Budget, if not in fact expended or encumbered for that purpose in the previous fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the 2000 General Fund Budget contained an appropriation of $5,000 for Capital Outlay to replace the engineering copier; and WHEREAS, staff continue to investigate equipment options to provide improved functionality and additional capability and the amount has not been expended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. The 2000 General Fund Budget is amended to reduce the Engineering Services Division by $5,000. 2. The 2001 General Fund Budget is amended to increase the Engineering Services Division by $5,000. January 8, 2001 Date ATTEST: C. City Clerk V'7dt*-MAayo4- The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Peppe and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
