RESOLUTION NO. 2001-15
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTRACT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
LABOR SERVICES (LELS) LOCAL 82 AND THE CITY OF BROOKLYN
CENTER FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2001

WHEREAS, Section 2.07 of the City Charter for the City of Brooklyn Center states
that the City Council is to fix the salary or wages of all officers and employees of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated in good faith with LELS 82 (Police Officers) for
a contract for the year 2001 as attached.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the attached contract with
LELS 82 (Police Officers) for calendar years 2001 with such language changes as may be necessary
to clarify any terms, provided such language changes do not change the substance or monetary
compensation set forth in the attached contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authorized wage and benefit adjustments not to
exceed the maximum contained herein shall become effective according to the schedule of the
contract which commences January 1, 2001.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kay Lasman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.
Myrna Kragness, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
