RESOLUTION NO. 2000-155
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A PRELIMINARY TAX LEVY FOR 2001
APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE GENERAL FUND, THE STREET
IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE FUNDS, THE POLICE & FIRE BUILDING
DEBT SERVICE FUNDS, THE E.D.A. FUND, AND THE H.R.A. FUND
BUDGETS
WHEREAS, The City of Brooklyn Center is annually required by Charter and state
law to approve a resolution setting forth an annual tax levy to Hennepin County; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota statutes require certification of a proposed tax levy to
Hennepin County on or before September 15, 2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center as follows:
1. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property lying within the City of Brooklyn
Center, a proposed tax levy of the following sums for the purpose indicated:
GENERAL FUND 7,001,904
STREET IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE-94 66,176
STREET IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE-95 72,579
STREET IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE-96 122,581
POLICE & FIRE BLDG DEBT SERVICE 785,492
TOTAL GENERAL FUND $8,048,732
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 216,731
HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 154,835
$8,420,298
2: The City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be certified to Hennepin
County so that said sum shall be spread upon the tax rolls and will be payable in the year 2001.
