RESOLUTION NO. 2000-187
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO APPOINT DATA
PRACTICES COMPLIANCE OFFICIAL
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 13.05 Subd. 13 requires that the City
appoint a City employee to act as its data practices compliance official to receive questions or
concerns regarding problems in obtaining access to data or other data practices problems within
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager is designated as Responsible Authority for Purposes
of the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the
City Manager be and hereby is authorized to appoint a City employee to act as its data practices
compliance official to receive questions and concerns regarding problems in obtaining access to
data or other practices problems.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kay Lasman
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Myrna Kragness, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, and Ed Nelson;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passe& and adopted.
