RESOLUTION NO. 00-50
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE
DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF GARY GIVING
WHEREAS, Gary Giving has been an employee of the City of Brooklyn Center in
the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department from February 4, 1963 to March 31,
2000;and
WHEREAS, Gary Giving has served as an Engineering Technician III; and
WHEREAS, Gary Giving has faithfully served the residents of the City of Brooklyn
Center by providing engineering design, surveying, and construction inspection services as well as
miscellaneous engineering services; and
WHEREAS, his dedicated public service and civic effort for the betterment of the
community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be
recognized and expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the dedicated public service of Gary Giving is hereby recognized
and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Robert Peppe and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Myrna Kragness, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, and Robert Peppe;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
