HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-104 CCRadoption: RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2000 CENTRAL GARAGE BUDGET AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A CHEVROLET SUBURBAN FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT 1 1. The 2000 Central Garage Budget is hereby amended to provide for the purchase of a Chevrolet Suburban for the Fire Department at a cost of $33,335. 2. The bid of Eggebrecht Chevrolet of Duluth, Minnesota is hereby accepted, and the purchase of a Chevrolet Suburban is hereby approved. June 12, 2000 Date WHEREAS, the Fire Department's command vehicle, a Chevrolet Suburban, is scheduled for replacement in 2001, and in preparation the Fire Chief has been reviewing price and availability of equipment; and WHEREAS, as a result of this research the City has been offered an opportunity to purchase immediately this replacement vehicle from Eggebrecht Chevrolet of Duluth, Minnesota, off the 2000 St. Louis County Cooperative Purchasing venture at a total cost of $33,335; and WHEREAS, as of January 1, 2000 there was accumulated depreciation funds in the amount of $37,430 set aside in the Central Garage Fund for the replacement of this equipment. Member Kay Tasman introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 2000-104 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: ATTEST:1 City Clerk Mayor Pro Tem The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Ed Nelson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Debra Hilstrom, Kay lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none ; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
