RESOLUTION NO. 2000-116
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT
OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR ENDED
DECEMBER 31, 1999, AMENDING THE 1999 GENERAL FUND BUDGET, AND
RATIFYING INTERFUND LOANS
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is required by state law and City Charter
to annually produce audited financial statements by June 30; and
WHEREAS, the attached financial statements have been audited by Deloitte &
Touche LLP as required; and
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution 2000-61 which increased estimated
revenues in the General Fund and said revenue increases require further adjustment; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter gives the City Council the power to make interfund
loans as may be deemed necessary and appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows:
1. that the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report of the City of Brooklyn Center
for the Calendar Year ended December 31, 1999 is accepted.
2. that the 1999 General Fund estimated revenues for property taxes be reduced by
$36,000 and the estimated revenues for lodging taxes be increased by $18,000
and the estimated revenues for court fines be increased by $18,000.
3. that the interfund loan balances as displayed in Note 9 on Page 43 of the financial
report are hereby approved and ratified by the City Council.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Robert Peppe and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Myrna Kragness, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
