adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2008-129
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR THE DONATION OF
THE BROOKLYN CENTER AMERICAN LEGION POST 630 IN SUPPORT
OF THE 2009 SAFETY CAMP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center American Legion Post 630 has presented to
the City a donation of five hundred dollars ($500), and asked that it be used to support the 2009
Safety Camp Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is appreciative of this donation and commends the
Brooklyn Center American Legion Post 630 for its civic efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota:
1. Acknowledges the donation with gratitude.
2. Appropriates the donation to the corresponding activity budgets.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Mark Yelich
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Mary O'Connor, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich;
and the following voted against the same: none ;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
