RESOLUTION NO. 2008-130
RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL TAX CAPACITY LEVIES FOR
THE GENERAL FUND AND HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY AND MARKET VALUE TAX LEVY FOR THE DEBT
SERVICE FUND FOR PROPERTY TAXES PAYABLE IN 2009
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center is the
governing body of the City of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that the final property tax levy be
provided to the Hennepin County Auditor no later than December 28, 2008.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that a tax is hereby levied on all taxable real and personal
property within the City of Brooklyn Center for the purpose and sums as follows:
General Fund: Limited Levy
Police & Fire Special Levy
Foreclosures Special Levy
Subtotal Tax Capacity Levies:
2004 A-Police and Fire Building Refunding Bonds
Subtotal Market Value Levy for Debt Service
Housing and Redevelopment Authority
Subtotal Tax Capacity Levy for HRA
Total Levy

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Dan Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich;
and the following voted against the same: Mary O'Connor;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
