Meeting Minutes
June 24, 2014
PRESENT
Phil Marbut, Judy Marbut, Cathy Ballot, Lin Myszkowski, Tom Shinnick, Mike Meyer, and Sue
LaCrosse.
Cathy Ballot called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There was a motion by Phil Marbut, seconded by Lin Myszkowski to approve the minutes of June 17,
2014. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Cathy Ballot reported a checkbook balance of $21,050.76. There was a motion by Phil Marbut,
seconded by Lin Myszkowski to approve the treasurer’s report.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Budget/Finance:
Sue LaCrosse said we received an additional $65.00. She reviewed the updates to the
spreadsheet. There was a motion by Phil Marbut, seconded by Lin Myszkowski to approve the finance
report.
Parade:
Phil Marbut submitted payment requests for the following:
$ 980.00 Band judges
$ 156.27 Trophies
$1,800.00 Band sponsorships
$ 150.00 Band prize money
$ 125.00 Band prize money
$ 150.00 Band prize money
$ 125.00 Band prize money
$ 250.00 Band prize money
Craft & Business Expo:
Lin Myszkowski reported she has looked at the park. She is going to move
the check-in area to the path area that comes into the park from the parking lot. She will bring a canopy.
She said the 10:30 people will be all grouped together.
Kids’ Craft Area:
No report.
Kids’ Planting Activity:
No report.
Face Painting:
All of the kid’s activities will be in the same area.
Family Fun & Games:
Cathy Ballot said she has volunteers. She made some event changes.
Fire Truck:
Sue LaCrosse said she will ask them if they want to be in the same area as the Mounted
Police.

Golf Tournament:
No report.
Kids’ Fishing Contest:
No report.
Music/Fireworks:
No report.
Petting Zoo:
No report.
Publicity:
Sue LaCrosse reported the ads went out in the Sunday paper last week.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
Cathy Ballot reported a $65.00 deposit.
CHECK REQUEST:
Biff’s – Not to exceed $1,010.00. We ordered one less restroom, so it should be less.
City of Brooklyn Center - $1,778.11 – Star Tribune ad
City of Brooklyn Center – $179.53 – Kid’s Fishing Contest prizes
City of Brooklyn Center – $529.69 – Postage
There was a motion by Phil Marbut, seconded by Lin Myszkowski to pay all bills. Motion carried.
