Meeting Minutes
April 21, 2015
PRESENT
Cathy Ballot, Bob Dillon, Lin Myszkowski, Myrna Kauth and Sue LaCrosse.
Cathy Ballot called the meeting to order at 4:33 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Lin Myszkowski to approve the minutes of March
17, 2015. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Cathy Ballot reported a checkbook balance of $17,641.60. There was a motion by Myrna Kauth,
seconded by Bob Dillon to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Budget/Finance:
Sue LaCrosse reviewed the working financial spreadsheet. Myrna Kauth said the
American Legion donated money for the fireworks last year. Sue LaCrosse said that last year’s donation
is shown under reserves. Technically the fireworks are sponsored by the American Legion because of
their contribution for two years.
Craft & Business Expo:
Lin Myszkowski reported food vendors of kettle corn, ice cream, mini donuts
and the Lions Club. Some of the past exhibitors now have different items to sell.
Kids’ Craft Area:
All set.
Face Painting:
All set.
Family Fun & Games:
Cathy Ballot said she is working on getting prizes.
Fire Truck:
All set.
Golf Tournament:
Sue LaCrosse said Steve Makowske will be there for the tournament.
Kids’ Fishing Contest:
Sue LaCrosse reported she purchased prizes from Amazon. She has some new
type of prize items including backpacks and bobber sets.
Music/Fireworks:
Sue LaCrosse said she has sent an email to the fireworks company and Capri Big
Band asking for a contract/agreement.
Parade:
Bob Dillon reported he has seven people on the committee. He is trying to locate the signs and
banners. Sue LaCrosse said she has the signs for the cars. He is also trying to locate the parade unit
stakes/signs. Cathy Ballot suggested talking to Sue Arneson.
Petting Zoo:
All set.

Publicity:
Sue LaCrosse said she sent the copy to the Star Tribune. She needs to connect with Tom
Shinnick about going over to FastSigns for a sponsor sign. The event schedule has been going out with
the water bills.
OLD BUSINESS
None.
NEW BUSINESS:
Sue LaCrosse said she received a request from the scouts to have a table at the Craft & Business Expo.
The request was approved by the committee. Jill Dalton cannot get here before 5:00. Sue LaCrosse said
the last item on the agenda for the May meeting will be recycling.
Sue LaCrosse said they may have an intern this summer. The person may be scheduled to help with the
parade and Craft & Business Expo if we need him.
Cathy Ballot said we will begin meeting weekly in June.
