Meeting Minutes
June 23, 2015
PRESENT
Tom Shinnick, Bob Dillon, Lin Myszkowski, Cathy Ballot, Myrna Kauth and Sue LaCrosse.
Tom Shinnick called the meeting to order at 4:39 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There was a motion by Cathy Ballot, seconded by Lin Myszkowski to approve the minutes of June 16,
2015. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Cathy Ballot reported a checkbook balance of $23,382.58. There was a motion by Lin Myszkowski,
seconded by Myrna Kauth to approve treasurer’s report. Motion carried
The following payments were requested.

800 Band awards Parade
100 Aqua Jesters Parade
1,060 Tri-State Band Judges Parade
76.50 Grannies Craft & Business Expo
108 Lions Club Craft & Business Expo
330 Fun Characters Face Painting

1,092.50 Biff’s Parade & Craft & Business Expo
400 Petting Zoo
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Lin Myszkowski to approve payment. Motion
carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Budget/Finance:
Sue LaCrosse said we will probably have a carryover of about $9,000.
Craft & Business Expo:
Lin Myszkowski reported there are 25 exhibitors. She will need 50 donut/hot
dog coupons.
Kids’ Craft Area:
No report.
Face Painting:
No report.
Family Fun & Games:
Cathy Ballot said she is set.
Fire Truck:
No report.
Golf Tournament:
No report.
Kids’ Fishing Contest:
BrookPark Dental will have one person assisting with check-in.

Music/Fireworks:
All set.
Parade:
Bob Dillon said he has four people helping with parade setup. The recreation intern will help.
A recreation staff member will setup the tables and chairs for the judges, Northwest Community
Television and the band awards. He will also setup the PA system. Bob Dillon needs 12 maps.
Petting Zoo:
No report.
Publicity:
Sue LaCrosse said the Star Tribune ad was in the newspaper last Sunday. Cathy Ballot said
she received one at a Fridley address. Sue LaCrosse will contact the ad rep to find out what happened.
OLD BUSINESS:
None.
NEW BUSINESS:
Myrna Kauth said she will not be returning for another term.

Tuesday, September 15, 4:30 p.m.
