Meeting Minutes
January 12, 2016
PRESENT
Lin Myszkowski, Bob Dillon, Sharon Kephart, Angie Crouch, Tom Shinnick and Sue LaCrosse.
Cathy Ballot called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There was a motion by Lin Myszkowski, seconded by Bob Dillon to approve the minutes of November
17, 2015. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Cathy Ballot reported a checkbook balance of $9,206.00. There are still outstanding checks. There was
a motion by Bob Dillon, seconded by Lin Myszkowski to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion
carried.
Budget:
Sue LaCrosse reviewed the budget expense worksheet. It is in a new format and easier to read.
Sue LaCrosse will email Dave Looby at Minneapolis Northwest to find out their level of commitment
this year. The business letters requesting support will go out this week.
Event/Activity Discussion:
Lin Myszkowski suggested a theme of Blast From The Past. The committee thought this was a
great idea and to build on old fashioned family fun. It was suggested we do card stock signs at
each event reflecting on the past years.
Yoga in the Park. Lin Myszkowski said she talked to April Graves and she is interested.
Kidsdance. Angie Crouch will confirm the date and time with them.
Three Rivers. Sue LaCrosse said these are their ideas: Nature based – similar to what we had
last year. Includes Naturalist, live animals, taking pictures of people with a screen that looks like
they are in nature. Recreation based – Geocaching, craft, disk golf, leaf printing, scavenger hunt,
pond/creek study, food & gardening. Sue LaCrosse said they do not think they could get bikes
for a bike tour.
Concerts. The committee would like to have a band reflective of the past, maybe 50’s & 60’s.
Magic Show. The committee would like to book the same magician that performs at Holly
Sunday.
Canstruction. Sue LaCrosse reported that Jill Pettit would like to offer this activity on Friday.
Inflatables. The committee decided they would like to have two inflatables with slides.
Kids’ Crafts. Sue LaCrosse will coordinate the craft.
Petting Zoo. Cathy Ballot said the new owners have our date. As soon as she hears back from
them, she will book it.
Face Painting. Sue LaCrosse will book them.
Horse Drawn Trolley Rides. The committee decided they wanted to offer this. Sue LaCrosse
will book them.
Sharon Kephart suggested we offer Bingo. It would be run similar to Holly Sunday. There
would be no cost and people would win small prizes or swim passes.
Ice Cream Social. Sue LaCrosse reviewed the proposal by Bridgeman’s Ice Cream. The

committee decided they would like to do this.
NEXT MEETING:
The committee decided they wanted to go back to the third Tuesday of the month.
The next meeting is Tuesday, February 16, 2016, 4:30 p.m.
