moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2016-178
RESOLUTION VACATING DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS
WITHIN LOT 2, BLOCK 1, BROOKLYN FARM 2ND ADDITION
WHEREAS, certain existing easements are no longer needed on Lot 2, Block 1
BROOKLYN FARM 2ND ADDITION; and
WHEREAS, the easements proposed to be vacated are identified as follows and
are hereafter referred to as "the Easements":
That part of the Drainage and Utility Easements, over, under and across Lot 2, Block 1,
dedicated in the plat of BROOKLYN FARM 2ND ADDITION, Hennepin County, Minnesota,
lying east of the west 10.00 feet thereof, described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Lot 2; thence on an assumed bearing North
06 degrees 52 minutes 33 seconds East, along the west line of said Lot 2, a distance of
23.97 feet to the point of beginning of the land to be described; thence South 87 degrees
51 minutes 06 seconds East 308.57 feet; thence South 45 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds
West 9.70 feet to the north line of the south 20.00 feet of said Lot 2; thence North 87
degrees 14 minutes 38 seconds West, along said north line, 302.31 feet to said west line;
thence North 06 degrees 52 minutes 33 seconds East, along said west line, 3.92 feet to the
point of beginning of Lot 2, Block 1, BROOKLYN FARM 2ND ADDITION as
originally dedicated in said plat
WHEREAS, after due notice and public hearing, the City Council has determined
that the Easements will be no longer needed and it is in the public interest to vacate the
Easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the vacation of the Easements described
above and depicted in the attached Exhibit A.
2. The City Clerk is directed to prepare a Notice of Completion of Vacation
Proceedings and to record it with the Hennepin County Recorder or Hennepin
County Registrar of Titles, as appropriate s

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kris Lawrence -Anderson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, April Graves, Kris Lawrence -Anderson, Lin Myszkowski, Dan Ryan
and the following voted against the same:
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
