HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-056 CCR9 its adoption: Member ka- h l e?✓1 ea r mrxl y introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. q 7- 5(9 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING VIDEO DISPLAY TERMINAL EYEWEAR PURCHASE POLICY WHEREAS, the City Council, on October 21, 1991, authorized a Video Display Terminal Eyewear Purchase Policy; and WHEREAS, such policy approved payment of fifty percent of an employee's special eyewear package for video display terminal eyewear; and WHEREAS, the policy that was proposed and approved by the City Council in 1991 referenced one optical provider•, and WHEREAS, the purpose of reimbursement is to encourage employees to purchase video display terminal eyewear where warranted; and WHEREAS, it may be more cost effective to use various providers of eyewear. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to adopt and promulgate from time to time policies relating to the reimbursement of employees for up to fifty percent of a video display terminal eyewear purchase.
