HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-095 CCRadoption: Member ROo erg' FePP� introduced the following resolution and moved its • RESOLUTION NO. q1-905 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA AUTO THEFT PREVENTION PROGRAM FOR THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT GRANTS PROGRAM L' WHEREAS, the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program is sponsoring a Local Law Enforcement Grants Program and will supply funding to cities for approved programs; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is requesting approval to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program for the Local Law Enforcement Grants Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has submitted an application requesting funds totaling $97,922 for the implementation of the Local Law Enforcement Grants Program; and WHEREAS, the grant is to be used to proactively investigate and educate citizens in the area of auto thefts; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The City Manager be and hereby is authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program for the Local Law Enforcement Grants Program on behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center. 2.
