RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety is sponsoring a Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program and will supply funding to cities for approved programs; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is requesting approval to enter into an agreement with the Department of Public Safety for the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has submitted an application requesting funds totaling $28,048 for the implementation of the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program; and WHEREAS, the grant is to be used to purchase capital items not othertivise included in the budget; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: 1. The City of Brooklyn Center be authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Department of Public Safety for the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program. 2. That Michael McCauley as City Manager is authorized to sign as authorized official. 3.
