HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-123 CCRMember April Graves introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2017-123 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO AUGUST 27, 2009, TRAILWAY COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center ("City") and Three Rivers Park District ("Park District") entered into a Trailway Cooperative Agreement ("Agreement") for the Twin Lake Regional Trail ("Trail") establishing the planning design, construction, operation, maintenance and funding responsibilities of the Trail on August 27, 2009; and WHEREAS, an immediate opportunity exists to realign a portion of the Trail on Lake Breeze Avenue N and Twin Lake Avenue to Azelia Avenue N and Lakeside Avenue N; and WHEREAS, the trail realignment and trail extension require an amendment to the Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Park District and City desire to cooperate to obtain property rights, design, construct, operate and maintain a continuous and contiguous Trail corridor located in the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the attached Amendment to the August 27, 2009, Trailway Cooperative Agreement in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center. 14.2017 Date ATTEST: J��Rmij�- City"Clerk, Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kris Lawrence -Anderson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson,Marquita Butler,April Graves,Kris Lawrence -Anderson, Dan Ryan and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
