HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-037 CCRMember April Graves introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO.201 8-37 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LABOR AGREEMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT LABOR SERVICES (LELS) LOCAL 82 (POLICE OFFICERS AND DETECTIVES) AND THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 2018 AND 2019 WHEREAS, Section 2.07 of the City Charter for the City of Brooklyn Center states that the City Council is to fix the salary or wages of all officers and employees of the City; and WHEREAS, the City has negotiated in good faith with LELS Local 82 (Police Officers and Detectives) for a contract for the years 2018 and 2019 as attached. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the attached contract with LELS Local 82 (Police Officers) for calendar years 2018 and 2019 with such language changes as may be necessary to clarify any terms, provided such language changes do not change the substance or monetary compensation set forth in the attached contract. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authorized wage and benefit adjustments not to exceed the maximum contained herein shall become effective according to the schedule of the contract which commences January 1, 2018.
