HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018 04-16 CCP Board of Appeal & EqualizationEach year, one fifth of the properties in the city are reviewed and the records are updated. The viewing, review, and statistical analysis of all sales that sold from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 in the City of Brooklyn Center were made. Adjustments to all commercial and industrial properties are based on market and income valuation procedures. Each year the estimated market values are analyzed along with sales data from the market. A recalculation of land and building values were made to all property types. The results of the adjustments for the following property types are: Residential + 9.34% Duplex + 12.56% Condos + 9.47% Townhouses + 11.98% Apartments + 6% Commercial + 3.65% Industrial + 5.34% There are 8,601 taxable parcels in the city with a total market value of approximately $2,222,599,700. This value includes $27,091,000 in new construction improvements. The overall gross value increase for all property types including improvements in the City of Brooklyn Center is +7.72%.
