1. CALL TO ORDER
The Brooklyn Center Economic Development Authority (EDA) met in Regular Session called to
order by President Tim Willson at 9:31 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
President Tim Willson and Commissioners Marquita Butler, April Graves, Kris Lawrence -
Anderson, and Dan Ryan were present. Also present were Executive Director Curt Boganey,
Deputy Executive Director Reggie Edwards, Community Development Director Meg Beekman,
Planner and Zoning Administrator Ginny McIntosh, Business and Workforce Development
Specialist Brett Angell, City Attorney Troy Gilchrist, and Michaela Kujawa-Daniels, TimeSaver
Off Site Secretarial, Inc.
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA
Commissioner Butler moved and Commissioner Ryan seconded to approve the Agenda and
Consent Agenda, and the following item was approved:
3a. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. May 29, 2018 — Regular Session
Motion passed unanimously.
4. COMMISSION CONSIDERATION ITEMS
4a. RESOLUTION NO. 2018-07 AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A
MINNESOTA INVESTMENT FUND APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF GET
BIZZY, INC.
Business and Workforce Development Specialist Brett Angell introduced the item, discussed the
history, and stated the purpose of the proposed resolution.
Mr. Angell introduced Co -Founder Andrew Healy to come forward and address any questions
the City Council/EDA may have for the applicants.

Commissioner Graves stated she was interested to know the reason for the request of new
equipment. Mr. Healy stated they are in need of new equipment to continue to grow their
business. Commissioner Graves noted that is not a bad problem to have.
Commissioner Ryan moved and Commissioner Butler seconded to open the Public Hearing.
Motion passed unanimously.
No one appeared to address this item.
Commissioner Graves moved and Commissioner Ryan seconded to close the Public Hearing.
Motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Graves moved and Commissioner Ryan seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO.
2018-07 Authorizing the Submission of a Minnesota Investment Fund application on behalf of
Get Bizzy, Inc.
Motion passed unanimously.
President Willson stated he is happy to see them coming to Brooklyn Center with their business
and welcomed them into the community. The other Commissioners echoed his sentiments.
5. ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Graves moved and Commissioner Butler seconded adjournment of the Economic
Development Authority meeting at 9:42 p.m.
Motion passed unanimously.

The undersigned, being the duly qualified and appointed Secretary of the Economic
Development Authority (EDA) of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, certifies:
That attached hereto is a full, true, and complete transcript of the minutes of a Regular
Session of the Economic Development Authority (EDA) of the City of Brooklyn Center
held on June 25, 2018.
2. That said meeting was held pursuant to due call and notice thereof and was duly held at
Brooklyn Center City Hall.
That the Economic Development Authority (EDA) adopted said minutes at its July 23,
2018, Regular Session.
