Dan Ryan introduced the following resolution and moved its

RESOLUTION APPROVING A TYPE IV RENTAL LICENSE FOR 5715
EMERSON A VENUE N
WHEREAS, City Ordinance Sections 12-900 to 12-916 set fo1ih requirements for
licensed rental prope1iies; and
WHEREAS, the prope1iy located at 5715 Emerson Avenue N, was issued a Type
IV Rental License on May 14, 2018; and
WHEREAS, City Ordinance Section 12-901.2 requires a prope1iy owner who
receives a Type IV Rental License complete Phase I, II and III of the Crime Free Housing Program;
and
WHEREAS, City Ordinance Section 12-914.3.c establishes the requirement for
Phase II of the Crime Free Housing Program including attendance at a minimum of 50 percent of
Owners/Managers Association Meetings and completion of Crime Prevention Through
Environmental Design Requirements; and City Ordinance Section 12-913 requires submittal of
monthly updates; and
WHEREAS, the property owner of 5715 Emerson Avenue N, Brooklyn Center
failed to attend Owners/Managers Association Meetings and turn in monthly updates, and/or other
requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that a TYPE IV Rental License is hereby approved for the property
at 5715 Emerson Avenue N, Brooklyn Center, MN.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kris Lawrence-Andersonand upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Marquita Butler, April Graves, Kris Lawrence-Anderson, Dan Ryanand the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
