Dog Park Survey Comments:
Isn't there a dog park in BC South of the library, North of Watniart? What's the location? is it taking
space from an existing park, or is it part of the Opportunity Site?
I don't see marly dogs in brooklyn center, except on lost dog pages. Seems like a waste. Many dog
parks within a short drive already. Unnecessary expense yet again proposed.
Great idea but Ben was bouch I don't have a dog
C
We currently take out dog to the Brooklyn Park Dog Park. Nice park.

Would love to have a dog park, in 6C so I don't have to visit another park, Thank %JOU
I would love a dog park . A large one with lots of roost for the cloor0s to run. Separate area for small
clogs with water to play in and drink. Lighting since darkness cornes early In the winter and wooded
paths would be coot. Dog waste bags Be available and trash bins.
We need one!
I would be a huge Supporter for a dog park. tfwe had one, I would most definitely be thrilled to use it. I foster dogs as well as have my crwn, I would
be extremely grateful to my city fof making this possible. Thank you for asking for interest.
I Would Use a dog park more if there were a nice one I'm brook[yn center
None... great Idea
Would you post the required vaccines needed to use the park?
None
It would be good to make sure all dogs atkotweo @n the park are up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered. They, could have to show proofand
receive a tag to be allowed in the pafl,,
We need one, so we doi',, have travel to go to dog pare;
Making sure all dogs that use the space are fully vaccinated and licensed.
I think it Would be so great, although I know there we a few people with viscous dogs who do not follow rules and taws outside a dog park, so o
would be concerned about It at a dog park
No
I would like It, but worry It Could become a hand Out space like pizza hut.
It's about tin)0111! U
I don't have a dog but I definitely think a dog park in Brooklyn Center would be a positive thing for our comOlUnIty,
Great idea!! Please build one.
A dog park is needed, and would be appreciated
It Would be nice to have somewhere close to take my pups to run and socialize
Require dogs have city registration tag on. Fee for tag could help with Maintenance. Have clean top bags On SIM
A dog park Would be a great community amenity. anyplace by Palmer Lake up for consideration?
Hope that it happens and that people watch their dogs, with no drama. No dark area as shady things happen.
I've seen and know of so many dogs injured by others, it's horrific, Some people either don't care or know clog1aroguage- well enough to stop
aggressions before it escalates to a bloody fight that can leave them with permanent injuries/death very quickly
Much needed
I lived at Lake Pointe apts with a nice cog area and saw, first hand how great a dog park could be, Talk to Jim Soderberg to find out how good It is
for dogs and owners
Please, ptease please create a dogipark.
We need one! I've never been to one, but I'm one individuat Mat brought it to CARS. I'd support one in our city, but haven't ventured to other cities.
Thanks for the Survey.
Humans must be accountable for their dogs at alt timm They must clean up after their clog. If their dog causes trouble, they should be banned
from the park.
No
I wouldn't use one because of dog conflict. Too riany people leave their dogs Loose in their yards, and my leashed dog was charged and nearly
attacked and is now wary of other dogs. People tend to be In denial, or don't care it their dog Is aggressive, There needs to be some means of
banning such dogs from the park, and fining owners witio don't ccriipty. That said, my negative view of other dog owners should not stop people who
want a dog park from having one. But please study the issue and learnwroliat does and doesn't work in other cities, Our leash taw Is weak, for
I am in favor of a dog park it we can find a space away from homes that has some shade. I won't use one with my current dog because she is a
rescue with issues.
It would realty need to be supervised. Too many people refuse to clean up after their pets and I don't allow smoking around my dogs.
This would be a great addition.
I would love to have one, A perfect spot would be at Lions park, where the baseball[ ftelds were taken out.
It needs to be welt taken care. BC should even consider cameras to hold people accountable,
I think this would be marvelous, as tong as dog parents have proof of vaccinations and small and large dogs have separate areas. I also think dog
owners should sign some sort of agreement that outlines the rules necessary for dog park use (i.e. they agree to pick up their dog's waste, deposit
trash in containers, show proof of up-to-date vaccines, and perhaps even pay a reasonable "participation fee' to help with maintenance or other
costs to keep the park nice and/or for policing the area. Perhaps even providing some sort of "waste station" with eco-friendly bags to use for
picking up dogs' "lawn sausages!"
I think it would be great to have!!
i think it would be fantastic. Let's do it Brooklyn Center
I do not support a dog park, if it costs money to the taxpayers.
'rsant a dog park from having one. But please study the issue and learn what does and doesn't work in other cities. Our leash taw is weak, for
example. The dog who nearly attacked mine was again loose, but the cops coudn'€ do anything, because I managed to get away before it left the
yard. Yet it was a frightening situation, given the history, and I no longer walk dove) that street because the Loose, aggressive dog may be there, and
I don't want mine, which is much smaller, to be killed, This doesn't seem right that I can't safety walk my leashed dog on a public road without fear
of attack, but the cops can't do anything until the dog leaves toe yard, By which point it will be an Immediate threat to my dogs life. I wish I'd called
the cops the first time, because the dog had left its property and charged mine across the street. But the owner was apologetic and I thought it was
a mistake. That he continues to allow the dog to be loose means he doesn't care about others safety, and you WiLL have such people bringing such
dogs to the park. As welt as dogs that wilt bite people, as has happened in other metro parrks. How Witt you manage that?
I would strongly support one or more dog parks in Brooklyn Center. Have basic ame.nitaes like trash cans & water for dogs
Great idea!
t would love to be able to take my dog somewhere Where he can run off leashN
Locations?
I hope we get one and I hope It's close to me!
As tong as it's quiet, clean, and not a new haven for criminals and drug dealers, I'm all for it,
t would be in favor
Our priorities are really getting slim, How about thinking of getting some retaR and or another decent grocery store
Use that area right near center took golf course. Wide unused fe'sld with a city parking tot attached,
f think it would be great, especially if more housing is being built where people don't have yards.
Should be free to the public Witt) posted hours and rules. Garbage receptacles and poop bags. If not supplied bags, a container for folks to bring in
bags for everyone to use.
I have been hoping you'd open one since the day I moved in here
