'-Jlllow Lane and t}-.c Mi—sLA"s-P, irate fc-rt j the proposed iihwi% ramp, '4e, the undersigned, being property owners of single family residential homes located on the mast side of Willow Lane between highway ##100 and 65th Ave. No., wish to go on record as opposing the granting of a Special Use Permit for the construction of multiple dwellings as proposed by Mr. Fudali. Our reasons are as follows: 1. A former request was denied by the Village Council on April let after a preceeding denial by the Planning Commission. The Council's reasons for denying were: (1) Construction of the apartment house would be detrimental to the comfort of nearby occupants of single family houses. (2) The construction of the apartment house would be injurious to the use and enjoyment of the other Ibnoperty in the immediate vicinity, for the purposes already permitted in that zone. (3) The Snecial Use would impede the normal and. orderly development of abutting property for single family residential use which is the use permitted in the building district. (4) The access road to the property would become overloaded with the additional traffic generated by the construction of the apartment house. 2. Further, approval of the Fudali application could well be a basis for abprovinc• the Farr anplica.tion for apartments north of 65th on Willow Lane and fronting on the river. 3. Home property values would be adversly affected with the advent of multiple dwellings next door to residences and the character of the neighborhood will be definitely upset. 4. A "neighborhood" study of this area has been indicated as part of the Hodne Report and the granting of the permit at this time, without a planning study of the problem, may well be detrimental, not only to this area, but to all residential property in Brooklyn Carter. 5. the apartments to the west of Willow Lane are within a complex and do not disturb the use of the residential property for single family dwellings as adversly as would the "spotting" of apartments among the single family[ homes. - w k4- h1hT,, t,,Vc-s
