On the August 12, 2002 City Council Agenda are Planning Commission Application Nos. 2002-009 and 2002-010 submitted by Independent School District No. 286. The first application is
for Preliminary Plat approval to combine and divide the existing Earle Brown Elementary School site, Grandview Park and a segment of vacated Humboldt Avenue right of way into two lots.
The second application is for a special use permit and site and building plan approval to construct a new 141,000 sq. ft. Earle Brown Elementary School and a reconfigured Grandview
Park.
Attached for your review are copies of the Planning Commission Information Sheets for Planning Commission Application Nos. 2002-009 and 2002-010 and also an area map showing the location
of the property under consideration, various site and building plans for the proposed development, the Planning Commission minutes relating to the Commission's consideration of this
matter and other supporting documents.
These matters were considered by the Planning Commission at their July 25, 2002 meeting and were recommended for approval.
It is recommended that the City Council, following consideration of these matters, approve the applications subject to the conditions recommended by the Planning Commission.
