owners of adjoining property to your location at 3715 -- 50th
Avenue North, have no objection to the construction of the
addition on the south side of your building, as proposed,

SUBJECT: Applicetion 463080 submitted by Star Enameling Company
When your recommendation of llecember 3. 1964 was received
by the Village Council I recommended to the Council that they :zefer this
matter back to the Planning Commission so that I may reviesi it with you.
The reason I requested an opportunity to review this matter
with you is that 1 did rot understand your reasoning for denying their request,
Upon inspection of the premises, I found that the propazty just to the
east of the Star Enameling property has a building constructed on it with-
in a few inches of the property line. I can see no reason for denying 3tar
Enameling the same privilege on their property since the narror, strip
of property between the buildings serves no useful purpose, iX the building
is constructed to comply with building code regulations. I talked to
Mr. :aufenburg about this matter and he advised me that the reason tile
storage room could not be built inside the present structure is that the
Industrial Coo;mission Txill not permit a storage roomt--.nich has t:;o a,valls
incoirmion with the rest of the building* but :hat they will accept a
storage room that has only one common wall. Mr. Kat,fenburg is attempting
to have Asa employee of the industrial ComiDission attend your weet.iag.
When reviewing this with Mr. Kaafenburg, I believe it could be
vise to also revie=�: the parking problem at his establishment. Mr. Murphey
has made a layout which shores how much space is available to the viest of
the Star 'nameling building.
