The applicant proposes to replace the existing free- standing sign with a 30 foot high sign not to exceed 90 square feet in area. The sign ordinance permits individual detached establishments which are not clustered in a "shopping center" to have one freestanding sign, ANALYSIS AIM RECOMENDATION.- The-first thing to be resolved is whether the subject -gasoline station is part of the Northbrook Shopping Center or is it a separate establishment. ThP property is not owned by the Center and the operator dolls not try to identify with the Center. The owner feeld that he needs a 30 foot high sign for proper identification.
