1) Northbrook, built in the early 50Es is the oldeSt
shopping center in Brooklyn Center.
2) Minnesota mills building and Pilgrim Cleaners cse3:e
added in 1963 and 1965 respectively.
3) The shopping center parking :tot has had a drainage
problem for some time. In a letter dated August
31, 1964, from Futterman Corporation to the f then)
Village of Brooklyn Center, it was noted 11 ... there
were and are obvious diffirulties in securing
complete drainage because the adjacent highway is on
higher ground.
it is not our intent to be contentious in any way
and certainly to our advantage to cooperatewith
suggestions made by -the village. I am sure you
appreciate, however, that we are hampered for the
tame being because of the highwa_i work and our
inability to adjust, to a highway drainage system
which has not yet been installed..
It is our intent to further expand the Center when
it becomes possible,..."
POINTS TO BE CONSIDERED:
1) New lighting installations ore proposed for the
shopping center and until_ specifications have been,
furnished, this should be subject to later approval..
