Property: Northbrook Shopping Center (Parcel 8960, Aud. Sub. 218) Owner of Froperty:Cutterman Corporation BACKGROUND: None POINT'S TO BE CONSIDERED: 1) The area of the sign is roughly 245 square feet on one side. 2) The sign is proposed as flashing. 3) Our proposed sign ordinance (Sec. 3--1104 A.3) states the following: "Integrated commercial development may have one free-standing identification sign on each collector or arterial street the development abuts. Each sign shall not exceed one per cent of the gross first floor building area in the development or 250 square feet, whichever is smaller, and shall not extend more than 32 feet above "ground level"." If this proposed ordinance were in effect, this sign would not be permitted as flashing, and the height would have to be reduced to 32 feet. 1) To maintain the policy of no flashing signs, this sign should be required to be constant illumination. 2) The location of the sign has not been fixed, and since it is to be a large structure, it should conform to building setbacks, OR
