Welfare call of Sonja Treshelle
Upon arrival otfic.el.s attempted Lo make contact. with 14s. WAZWAZ in apartment
108. Officers knocked several times, coming up with negative results. At
that time, her ue.ighbor, which lives in 'the apartment adjacent to 108,
informed officers that, sfie had last spoke with WAZWAZ on 04-21-95 at 2200
hours. The neighbor further stated that WAZWAZold her that she had to go
to bttd because she had to get up early for work to be at work at 0600 hours
of 4-22-95, and that is the last that she had spoken with Ms. WAZWAZ.
utticers then met with the apartment caretaker who allowed us to gain access
into the apartment to check the welfare of Ms. WAZWAZ. Officers made entry
into apartment 108, searched the entire apartment, finding no one. While
officers were in the apartment officers observed food of various kinds
scattered throughout the apartment, left on the floor, in the kitchen, in the
living room and in the kids' room. Officers then checked the refrigerator
and freezer, finding that their freezer was not in working order and most of
the contents in the refrigerator to be spoiled. It should also be noted that
there was clothing scattered throughout the entire apartment, both kids'
clothing and adult clothing.
At this time officers left the apartment and went t-p�-the Brooklyn Center
tolice Department for a follow up. Officer FRENCH spoke with the
complainant, VJft ARNAM. VANARNAM stated that WAZWAZ was scheduled to be at
work at 04- 22-95 a-E 06,10 hours and when dial not show up for work, she
became concerned and then contacted the Brooklyn Center Police Department.

On 04-25-95 at approximately 1215 hours, Officer FRENCH received a phone
call from Sonja Treshelle WAZWAZ, address 407 70th Avenue North, Apartment
108, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota 55430,in reference to the report being
made on the condition of her apartment. WAZWAZ stated that she is in the
process of getting a divorce from her husband, first name of CHALED (NMN)
WAZWAZ and states that he's being very uncooperative in the process. Ms.
WAZWAZ stated the reason for the apartment being in the condition that it
was when officers found it this morning was because she's in the process
of moving from her apartment and has not had a lot of time to maintain the
upkeep. She further stated the reason for the refrigerator and freezer
was because her kid had unplugged it and she did not realize it was
unplugged until approximately 24 hours later.
19s. WAZWAZ also stated that she is unable to do any type of bending or
lifting due a medical condition from a previous accident and had her
mother and sister''come over and assist her in cleaning her apartment. Ms.
WAZWAZ assures officers that her apartment is usually kept clean and her
children are
