SPRAY TECH CORPORATION May 4, 1976 Brooklyn Center City Hall 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway Minneapolis, Minnesota 55429 Attention: Blair Tremare Dear Mr. Tremare: This letter is to reassure you of our usage of the property at 6820 Shingle Creek Parkway. We are a manufacturer of paint application equipment. We employ an airless principle by utilization of an electric motor transmitting its energy through mechanical components, allowing a painter to apply paint at pressures up to approximately 2500 PSI maximum. We manufacture a complete line of equipment from cup guns far"the hobbiest, up to high pressure equipment capable of two-four professional - painters using at the same time. The space we are leasing is to be used initially for finished goods warehousing only. Obviously there would be other goods in there. These goods would not be out of the ordinary, i.e. explosives, highly combustible material, etc., but would consist of advertising literature, corrugated cartons, spare parts, etc. Eventually we may incorporate two small automatic screw machines in the building but these plans have not been finalized yet. We will be happy to sit down with you, the Planning Commission or City Council at any time. Sincerely, SPRAY TECH CORPORATION 4 ! Je W. This airless spray unit requires no air compressor and is recommended for painting in industrial plants, construction sites, commercial warehouses, apartment and motel complexes, structural steel work, radio and, water towers, plus hundreds of others. The ST-3000 (ORDER NO. 88848) comes complete with UL listed, explosion proof electric motor, hydraulic paint pump, pressure control and relief valves, suction set assembly with low -line filter, 50 ft. X 1/4" I.D. high pressure air- less hose, G-10-1 airless spray gun with built-in 1/4" NPSM swivel, trigger and nozzle safety guards, two spray gun filters, TC521 tungsten carbide airless spray tip (.021" X 501) and maintenance tools: PRICE $1,599.00 The ST-3000 provides the painting contractor with more paint output per equipment investment dollar. It weighs less than 100 lbs., delivers up to 1 % gpm, supports tip sizes up to .025" and handles hose lengths of over 350 feet. In . addition, the ST-3000 is cart mounted with wide 10 inch semi -pneumatic tires, for easy movement in rough construc- tion sites, and collapsable handle for compact vehicle transporting when necessary. The ST-3000 has the suction, volume and pressure to handle one coat, high build materials, multiple guns and high production tips. The manually operated pressure control valve lets the painter regulate the pressure, from 0-3300 psi, depending on the application. Also the manually operated relief valve lets the operator safely relieve all pressure in the spray hose by turning the valve from "spray" to "by-pass" eliminating the possible danger and usual mess that is necessary to relieve this pres- sure on competitive machines. It will support two gun operation with tip sizes up to .019" and will pump from 5 gallon pail or 55 gallon drum by using optional siphon accessory. The ST-3000 is a powerful, easy to operate, easy to repair machine that will give the painter continuous service and performance. All vital parts that are most subject to possible wear are made of hard, durable, long lasting tungsten carbide. Also, since there are only 8 moving parts, the expense and headaches of repair and service are minimal — in fact most service work can be done on the job by the painter himself. TECHNICAL DATA The USA made ST-3000 utilizes a 1 Y4 hp electric motor that is UL and CSA listed for Class I, Group D, hazardous loca- tions. Operates on any 20 amp, 115 volt 60 cycle electrical outlet. Electric power cord is 6 ft. in length, 14 gauge heavy duty grounded with molded safety plug. Long life diaphragm is not affected by pressure, paints or solvents. Each unit carries a 12 month warranty that is incorporated into the in- struction manual included with each unit.
