Newstrum, President Brooklyn Center Industiral Park, Inc. 6100 Summit Drive Brooklyn Center, MPS 55430 Dear Mr. Newstrum: This is in response to our recent telephone conversation and your letter of October 21, 1976, regarding the B. C. I. P.-sponsored seasonal storage of boats in a portion of Speculative Building No. 6, 6300 Shingle Creek Parkway. It is our determination that the proposed temporary activity under the auspices of the owner, is within the intent of the ordinance and the City Council approval for use of that space (Application No. 75046, which was originally submitted by G. A. F. Corporation). The approval of this use is subject to the following: 1) The use involves temporary seasonal storage of privately owned boats. 2) The space involved is a portion of the area compreheLddd under Application No. 75046. 3) The use is under the auspices of B. C. I. P. as owner of the premises. It is understood that any other warehousing and storage use in this or other buildings in the I-1 district requires a special use permit before such uses are established. W. 6) Reques t; Special Use Permit The applicant proposes to lease part of the Speculative Building No. 6 for ware- housing and storage, which are comprehended as special uses in the I-1 district. The request is similar to that approved Linder Application N10. 74051, which in- volved space in the sane building (that tenant has since vacat3d the premises). The use would include storage of asphalt felt, coated and graiiu'le surface roll products and asphalt shingles. A public hearing has been scheduled. Approval would be subject to the following: a The permit is for a single tenancy as noted by the applicant: and as verified by the Building Official and is nontransferable. b, Issuance of the permit is contingent upon revi4v of appropriate building plans and certification of occupancy by the Building Official. C. The special use is subject to all applicable cosies and ordinance requirements and violation thereof shall be grounds for revocation. M
