H. The bituminous pavement should be filled in free the exist-
ing drive to a line, including and extended southerly from
the new curbing installed on the east.
C. A temporary rolled bituminous curb "lip" will be provided
along the east edge of the pavingt the area directly adjacent
to this edge should receive additional black dirt fill and
be seeded.
D. A sodded berm will be provided at the northeast corner of the
site where the new curb will join the existing curb at approx-
imately 3 feet in height. The in place sanitary sever man-
hole will not be covered. The berming will extend easterly
of the curb intersection.
E. Engineering data will be determined relative to the elevation
of the garage structure prior to construction so to assure
appropriate drainage. it is likely additional fill will be
necessary.
P. The applicant will determine a procedure by which the two
parking areas may be sealed off from one another, perhaps
by a chain across the internal roadway as suggested by the
Police Department, or by -an extension of the existing island
delineator which projects into the parking lot from the side-
walk around the church.
0. The parking lot will be striped according to approved plans.

RE! CEILING STRUCTURE IN FOYER OF NEW CHURCH
DEAR REVEREND LEVANGt
ON MARCH 259 19709 MR. DONALD OLSONg STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS AND I
MET AT YOUR CHURCH TO INVESTIGATE THE ABOVE CEILING STRUCTURE,
THIS IS THE CEILING THAT MR, MURPHY9 ENGINEER FOR BROOKLYN CENTERV
HAS QUESTIONED IN TERMS OF ABILITY TO WITHSTAND ANY ADDITIONAL
I
LOADING BEYOND THE CEILING WEIGHT ITSELF. AFTER MEETING AT THE
CHURCH9 MR. OLSON AND I WENT TO MR, MURP'HY*S OFFICE TO REVIEW THE
SITUATION WITH HIM AND HIS FIELD INSPECTOR,
THE CONCERNS OF MR. MURPHY ARE WELL FOUNDED. IF ACCESS IS PROVIDED
TO THE CEILING AREA IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO USE THE SURFACE FOR
STORAGE FOR WHICH IT IS NOT DESIGNED, THIS IS A TEMPORARY CEILING
TO BE REMOVED WHEN THE AUDITORIUM IS EXPANDED AND A NEW FOYER
BUILT TO THE EAST.
ENCLOSED PLEASE FIND A COPY OF A LETTER FROM MR. OLSON.STATING HIS
FEELINGS ABOUT THE MATTER. I CONCUR WITH THESE COMMENTS AND. THE
FINAL SUMMARY. THE NUMBER OF TIMES PROJECTION EQUIPMENT IS USED
PROBABLY DOES NOT REQUIRE A SEPARATE SPACE, THE EQUIPMENT CAN BE
SET UP BEHIND THE LAST ROW OF PEWS WHEN NEEOEO.ANO EASILY REMOVED
TO THE SOUND CONTROL ROOM FOR STORAGE. FUTURE CONSTRUCTION CAN

THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE CHURCH9 MR. VANMANq IS BEING .INFORMED OF THE
SITUATION SO THAT HE MAY PROCEED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION MAKING THE
NECESSARY CORRECTIONS TO THE CEILING FRAME AND CONTINUE WITH THE
ACOUSTIC PANELS AND LIGHTING.
