Request: Amend Special Use Permit and Building Plan Approval
On June 23, 1975 the City Council passed Resolution 75-107 approving Planning
Commission Application 75001 submitted by this applicant. That application
consisted primarily of numerous site improvements and upgrading which were
stimulated by some unauthorized site work the applicant had performed.
The result of that application was accomplishment of most of the approved site
improvements, and the applicant did submit a site Performance Agreement and
supporting financial guarantee to assure their ultimate completion. There is a
minor amount of work left primarily involving the installation of concrete
delineators in the front area.
The present application is essentially for building plan approval and specifically
for an approximate 1,000 sq. ft. used car sales building which would be located
north of the existing building. There would be a tie-in to the main car sales
building and offices by means of an extended canopy. Car dealers are special uses
in the C-2 District and, therefore, this represents an amendment of the special
use permit for this dealership.
The new building would consist essentially of offices related to used car sales
and the plans also comprehend the slight amendment and completion of the already
approved site improvements.
We will be prepared to review the plans in detail and compare them with the
original approved site plans.
A public hearing has been scheduled.
Approval would be subject to the following conditions:
1. Building plans are subject to review and approval by the Building
Official with respect to applicable codes prior to the issuance
of permits.
2. Related site improvements shall be comprehended under the
Performance Agreement and financial guarantee dated June 23,
1975.
