INFORMATION NOTICE
September 8, 1967
To Whom It May Concern:
in July of 1966, application was made by Lecon Properties,
Inc_, for rezoning from R-1 (Single Family Residence) to B-
(General Business) of the property between 67th and 69th Avenues
North to the east of Osseo Road including therein the property
presently occupied by single dwellings on either side of
Halifax Avenue and the open land to the west of Grimes Avenue
Extended northward.
This request was considered by the Planning Commission on
July 19, 1966, and the request was denied as submitted,but
approval was recommended to such rezoning in accordance with
the Commission's previous recommendation that the property
west of the rear lot Nine btween Grimes and Halifax Avenue
extended should be zoned to the B3 classification.
The application was considered lay the Council on August 1,
1966, and at that time it was tabled indefinitely by the Council
with the applicant's approval to provide time for the applicant
to reconsider amending his application to conform to the recommend-
ations of the Planning Commission.
The applicant has recently requested that the rezoning request
again be considered by the Council and the request will be on the
Council Agenda on Monday, September 11, 1967, at approximately
9 P.M. You are invited to attend this meeting to observe and make
comments relating to the Proposed rezoning.
