Rick Description of Request: Variance to allow erection of two freestanding signs, each with a sign surface 14' wide by 4` high, Property: 6756 Oss(:u Road (Tract B, R.L.S. 4456) (taner of Property: Henry Halvorsen BACKGROUND: .1s Business began for Center Sales on November 2, 1965, upon issuance of a business certificate of occupancy, The certificate was conditioned upon accomplishment of certain site improvements in the spring of 1966: No signing was indicated on a site layout prepared by Center Sales, but several swall nonconforming signs appeared in the winter months, culminating in this application„ POINTS TO BE CONSIDERED: 1) In addition to certain signs on the walls of the commercial buildings, the proposed sign ordinance would allow the following: "b� One free -.standing sign on each collector or arterial street the establishment abuts if the building is set bark at least 50 feet from the street on which the sign is located except when the establishment. is part of an integrated development which has a development sign.
