The following is a chronological report of activities relating to the subject automobile
agencies„
July 22, 1968 - site and building plan approval and special use permit, Mr. Chri..sty
and Mr. Robbins were present at the City Council mee- ing to support their request for
an expansion of the automobile display lot and the new car storage area on to property
previously owned by others and located immediately south of 62nd Avenue,. The Council
moved to direct the preparation of a resolution setting forth the Council"s iindinC4 in
approving the application (No. 68035) and further directed the Building inspector to issue
a partial building permit to the applicant.
August 5, 1968 - preliminary plat approval, Mr. Christy and Mr. Robloins appeared
before the City Council to support Applicaticn No. 68037 requesting preliminary plat
approval which would include the recently acquired parcel of property immediately south
of 62r_d Avenue into the Brookdale Chrysler --Plymouth plarat,. A draft resolution submitted
in response to the Council directive of July 22, 1968 was introduced and discussed. 1/Ir,
Gerald Tacheny attended the meeting for the purpose of discussing ,poise which emanates
from the west door of the Brookdale Chrysler -Plymouth property. After thoroughly discussing
the matter and slightly modifying the iording of the resolution, the City- Council adopted
the resolution which p-rovided, in addition to the routine requirements, that "appro-c,-al of
the additional lighting as indicated on the submitted guns shall be subject to :anal approval
by the City Council at the time that the subject lights are installed and adjusted " and
"the agreement between Ch>ysler fiotors Corporation and the (then.) Village of Brooklyn
Center dated January 7, 1966 shah be modified and. amended to conform to the use proposes?

At the August 5, 1968 :Meeting, the CiL; Council gave bormal approval to the site and

to reduce potential noise problems .n the vicinity. The matter was tabled. until November
12, 1968 at which time residents of the area ex )ressed opiniour, and offered comment;>

block wall located along the south line of the property. Additionally, it a-ppeared as
though the front rote of lights along Osseo Road had not• been adjuster' in a manner a^
ndieated during the Councils on -site inspection or, ,une 24, 1968.
March 24, 1969 - Request for preliminary plat approval and lighting plan approval for
Dodge agency. That portion of 'tile application (No. 69049) relating to the preliminary
