i.ocations 6822 Brooklyn Boulevard
Request: site Plan .Appro-tal
This item has been informally discussed and is submitted, with
ch.ei-enan Gross' approval, for review and disposition.
The applicant proposes to reopen the former Budget Power stoke
for the retail sale of auto pa:•i:s and accessories. The present
site is highly deficient in minimum improvements such as parking
spaces, paving, curbing, and cs:ainage.
The proposed improvements won -I'd substantially upgrade the site
and are virtually identical Y.o those approved for this property
by the City Council in 1972 (Application No. 72012) .
in addition to pavirzg, curbi t,g, curb -cut widening and landscaping,
the applicant plans to remove the existing walkway and dock on
the south side of the building. Plans also call for the demolition
of the old garage attached to tho gear of the main structure.
No new construction is proposed (whereas, the plans approved in
1972 called for fiche erection of n 1,000 square foot warehouse
addition) .
The amount of parking spaces is less than ordinance requirements
for a nevi facility. However, ntiximum use of available space has
been made for parking -- vhich rhould be adequate for the retail.
activity.
The applicant proposes cosmetic rvmodel-i ng of the afore interior,
and intends to paint the exterior 02 the steel building. The
Assisting signory painted on the wall should be permanently
removed.
Approval would be subject to ha folloz.t.3g conditions:
1. Grading, drainage 4nd utility Plans are subject to
review by the city Engine -or.
2. A performance agreement and financial gcarantee (in
an amount to be det✓erminod by the City Manager) shall
