DEPARTMENT STORE 1297 BROOHDALE CENTER BROOKLYN CENTER 30, MINNESOTA April 13, 1964 Brooklyn Center Village Council 7100 Osseo Road Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Att: Mr. Art Lee Dear Mr. Lee: PHONE 561.4200 We request a permit to fence in a small portion of our parking lot for seasonal merchandise. We wish to fence in a portion of the area on either side of the covered walk which is located on the west side of the main building and runs between our store and our service station. This fence would extend 30 feet out from the sidewalk on each side, making it 68 feet across, and we would like to make it 71 feet long. We plan to use chain link fence 6 feet high and to put barbed wire arms and barbed wire around the top of it:* The area which it is to enclose would be used for storing evergreens and showing boats and tents. We would need and use this area from April 15th through June 15th each year. We would take the fence down as soon as the area in our Patio Shop can accommodate this merchandise, and that should be about the middle of June or the 4th of July at the latest. This request has been discussed with Mr. Wm. Crear, Jr. of the Dayton Development Company, and he has given us his verbal per- mission for the construction of this lot. We sincerely hope that a permit for this temporary fence can be granted to us by the Brooklyn Center Council. Very truly yours, / H. A.
