Dear Mr. Tremere:
I am asking the City of Brooklyn Center to grant me a Special Use Permit for a beauty salon
to be located at 5050 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
I am purchasing this home for the purpose of a personal residence and with the option of
operating a 2 - 3 chair beauty salon in the basement. The hours shall be between 9:00 a.m.
and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday; Saturday's hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be two beauty operators on duty with a maximum number of clients present at one
time of six. The home has two private entrances in the rear besides the main front entrance.
There is enough parking for 12 vehicles. The clients will make appointments and on an
average there will be approximately four cars in the front circle driveway of the home.
I am aware that the only sign permitted shall not exceed 6 square feet of area. The main
use of the building will be for my personal residence. This property is ideally situated and
constructed to conform to the State Board of Health for my business purposes.
