This is the same request as that contained in Planning Conencission Application No. 69027 which was withr,rawn by the applicant. XNALYSIS AND REMMEOMATION: one of the reasons for withdrawal. of Application No. 69027 was the location of the proposed driveways. Access frcwi Brooklyn Bou-levard to commercial uses is difficult at certain times of day and reduces the capacity and effectiveness of Brooklyn Boulevard as a carrier of through traffic. Every effort should be made to facilitate traffic and reduce congestion. Access from residential streets to commercial uses is not in the best interest of the City and is inconsistent with the goals of the Compreb.ensive Plan. Also such accesses establishes some precedent which, if continued. along one side of a residential street facing single fancily dwellings, would create an.intolerab7e situation for the single family :esldent:s. Recommendation of his application is difficult and strict adherence to planning principles would interfere with the owners rightful use of his property.
