RESOLUTION NO. 2020-047
RESOLUTION AMENDING MAYORAL DECLARATION NO. 2020-1 DECLARING A
LOCAL EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2020, the Mayor of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota issued
Mayoral Declaration No. 20204 Declaring a Local Emergency ("Emergency Declaration 2020-1)
Inc to the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2020, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2020-035 in
accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 12.29 to extend Emergency Declaration 2020-1; and
WHEREAS, Governor Tim Walz has issued several emergency executive orders during this
emergency, including changing standards on the number of people allowed to gather and under
which circumstances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to follow the standards established by the Governor as
they change over time, including as to the number of people allowed to gather.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center
that paragraph 4 of Emergency Declaration 2020-1 be deleted and replaced as follows:

4. Restrictions on the atg hering of people during this emergency shall be as established by the
Governor through his emergency executive orders.
