RESOLUTION NO. 2020-057
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION TO
PATTI PAGE FOR OVER 37 YEARS OF DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE TO
THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER
WHEREAS, Patti Page was hired as Administrative Aide in the Administration
Department on October 14, 1980; and
WHEREAS, during Patti's more than 37 years with Administration and
Community Development Departments, she provided superb administrative support to the staff
and directly supported each Department's mission; and
WHEREAS, Patti served as Purchasing Agent and worked closely with Earle
Brown Heritage Center to assist with selecting furniture and accessories during renovation;
coordinated City auctions; attended City Council meetings as Recording Secretary; assisted with
City elections; and was known as the voice of the City as she recorded all the City voicemail
messages; and
WHEREAS, Patti was instrumental in bringing technology to the Human
Resources Division including on-line open enrollment and on-line application systems that
afforded both internal and external customers with easy4o-use systems utilizing today's
technology; and
WHEREAS, Patti coordinated bringing in representatives from ICMA and PERA
to keep employees informed about their benefits including offering individualized meetings; and
WHEREAS, Patti provided consistent and dependable management in the daily
operations of the office to deliver positive and efficient customer service; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center wishes to recognize
the dedication and professionalism Patti has displayed in discharging her duties and the positive
impact she has made on the City and its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, that we recognize
the retirement of Patti Page on June 12, 2020, with more than 37 years of service and express
sincere appreciation for her dedicated public service.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Butler, Elliott, Graves, Lawrence -Anderson, Ryan
and the following voted against the same: None.
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
